Hello fellow Mopar nuts, pics of cars I had, and how my 69 convertible looked.

Lol love it, u found a jewel and I'm proud and happy for you .
Is that a 69?
Did u just drag it home?
Man for all the times I did just that.
Drag em home and fix em up race em till police recognized the car.
Put a for sale sign in it.
And do it again.
I had one cop right me a Whopper of a ticket, 65 in a 35 through a red light.
As he approached the car he says.
" I've been watching you speeding thru my city and have been waiting to pull u over.
I said.
So ur probably not going to go easy on me huh?
He laughed and said no no no.
So I fallowed with fine **** u right the ticket asshole.
That was my 71 340 demon white with black side stripes, hood pins, orange seats and door panels.
That car had a factory cassette player with the microphone still in the box in the glove box.
Man I wished I'd kept it.
Anyway. Good score man.
Dude when I drug my 69 convertible home. It had zero chrome trim inside or outside.
Here's the story.
I get it home and take it to WSP for out of state inspection.
This raised red flags.
I get a pgpho call from a Stacy norgart of state farm insurance.
She says "I understand u purchased a 1969 barracuda convertible"
Yes I did .
I'm investagl

Dude when I drug my 69 home it was void of all chrome trim inside and outside of the car. I posted a few pics.
Anyway check this out.
I get it home, take it to WSP for out of state inspection.
This raised red flags.
I get a call from Stacy norgart of state farm insurance.
She says I indunderst u purchased a 69 340 barracuda convertible.
Yes ma'am I did .
Well I'm investigating that car for it being stolen.
I told her I had title and bill of sale.
She came to my house and looked at the cuda .
Lol she asked, how much did you pay for the car?
She could not believe anybody would buy a surface rusted gutted out car.
So I didn't touch the car.
I'm not working on a car that may be taking away .
So a month or so later she calls and tells me what happened
The owner stripped everything off the car, took it to the body shop, who he didn't pay.
They threw a light coat of black primer on it and drug it outside.
They got ownership legally and put it up for auction.
The guy I bought it from baught it at the auction.
So Stacy norgart called me again.
This time she says it's your far, the owner realized what he lost and tried desperately to get it back .
Then (get this) she says, " would you like to know where all the chrome trim is for your car"?
R u kidding me? You know where the original parts for my car are?
Yep call Portland chrome and ask about a 69 barracuda convertible.
I did, and stored up in the attic all wrapped in paper and plastic bags.
Freshly re-chromed and polished stainless trim ( I didn't like the polished look and got really nice original stainless trim.
Anyway what started as an Herculean restoration got a whole lot easier and cheaper .
I cut out rust in two spots and welded in actual replacement steal from 318 225 six cars I parted out over the years.
Did all mechanical work, rebuilt the engine rear end etc .
Did all the body work myself .
Everything accept the top coat of paint.
I didn't want to risk ruining the labor I put into the car .
So yes it's come a long way, and has a ways to go .
But really soon it'll be on the road.
MOPARS RULE!!!
peace and good luck with your project.
