Wheel and tire combo on a 72 Duster
Man, I love this car more everytime I see it! If it ever goes up for sale message me first!
To the OP- a lot depends on your suspension setup as well. What rear end, springs and ride height will dictate what you can get away with, and also the tolerances on your particular car. With a 15x8 with 4.25"bs and 275/60/15 on the back of mine, with a stock a body 8-3/4 I have 3/8" clearance to the springs. My springs are Espo +1" over stock height, but as they settled I started to get a little rub on the fender lips with passengers or on large bumps.
I run 14x7 on the front with 4.00bs and 225/70/14. I get a little rub on the passenger fender bolt on sharp right turns. Just enough too make me cringe. A slightly shorter tire would cure it.
Just FYI...
