Shifters? Educate me!

I had a quicksilver for years in my street / strip 10 second dart. Loved it! I eventually fell victim however to the "drag cars shouldn't have ratchet shifters" BS....so I put in a cheetah, and I really dont like it at all. I really miss my b&m. I'd go quicksilver again in a minute.
