I'm just trying to gather 66 Valiant Signet convertible owners to see who has an ordered car or if it's a non ordered car. I'll start with mine. It is a non ordered car. Thanks in advance for any info on this subject.

I have a Signet vert with 58000 on it in original condition .How can you tell if it was ordered ?

We have two 66 signet cars don't know if they were ordered or not
Right on, if you have time and they still have the fender tags you can tell if it was ordered or not. If it was ordered there will be a 1 under the U on the fender tag. If there is nothing under the U then it was not an ordered car.

I believe mine was an ordered car and has a 1 under the letters.

Mine may be for sale shortly. If you know anyone looking for a nice car let me know. Probably around 17k...mechanically and suspension all brand new . No rust original interior and paint with some patch repair done. All metal no Bondo where repaired/replaced.....Very low production numbers for this one due to options and colors etc.
hate to let her go but it is just time due to health reasons....seems like a very ugly trend lately......you get your car just about dialed in and then you can’t drive it

Awsome! Thanks for helping out. None of the other 66 Valiant owners out there seem to want to participate. What color combo do you have if yoh dont mind that I ask?

It's originally a dark red metallic with a black interior and white top. Going to paint it bright red and have a black top when it's done.

you don’t say! That’s exactly what this one is!

No fender tag tho, but I do have the certified that shows it was an executives car who owned a scaffold company. Assuming it was ordered by them!

Mine has the fender tag, but, not the Certicard. Mine has the H5X trim code, auto trans (console shift) and SureGrip too. I see you have black wheels and dog dish hubcaps. Mine has body painted wheels. I always thought the Signets had full wheel covers and therefor would have black wheels. I guess the caps or covers were an option. It's just strange that our wheels were painted that way. Seems to me it should be the other way around.

I just check my 66 valiant signet convertible. It has a 1 under the U in the upper right corner of the data plate. My car also has dog dish hubcaps and body painted 13" steel wheels. I am the second owner of this car. I bought it from the original owner in 2013 when he was 93years old. The car was parked in 1985. Then in 1993 the original owner took it for a drive around the block and the master cylinder failed and he rear ended a car. I met the original owner in the junkyard looking for parts, that was 1993. He could not find parts to repair the car so it sat until I got it. I am slowly getting parts together to get it back on the road. Trying to upload a photo of the data plate.
