I guess its a matter of interpretation........

To me, that’s a cam that’s “going away”.
It’s been in service quite a few years, right?

A cam with “wiped out” lobes is more like this:

In your first pic, you can see the wear pattern down near the base circle is wide and located in the center of the lobe.
That’s going to result in minimal, or no lifter rotation....... and one result of no rotation is what you see....... the nose of the lobe wearing away.
The corresponding lifter likely has little or no crown left to it.

The MP cams I’ve checked only had .001” lobe taper, whereas most all aftermarket performance cam grinders use .002” lobe taper, in an effort to promote better lifter rotation.
