Hyper pak exhaust manifold value

Looks like the one in the picture has been cut and re-welded for some reason. Why would you assume it;s an original Hyper Pack engine? They didn't come with Offenhauser intake manifolds or Holley carburetors.

Because of the racing history of the engine that I didn’t mention here. I know the intake manifold and carb were swapped at one point.
