The Trans cases are different, so, no you can't put the early parts you need to make it work, easily. It might be able to be done, but a lot of work. Imperial Services used to have a conversion kit to allow a PB shifter to work with the later trans, but it was expensive, and they were slow to deliver. I don't know if they could do the factory floor shifter. What I would consider would be to get a cable shifter like in post #12 and and use that, or get the installation kit without the shifter, itself, and see if you can hook that cable to your factory shifter. Just be carefull to match the detents on the shifter and the valve body.
