FABO member's 72 DART SWINGER 340 Special at MCACN show in Chicago

-
Thanks Kim. Doing my part to get the Canadian word out and it's turned out pretty good so far, LOL.
Here's a neat aspect to me being there at MCACN... Dave Wise, of MMC Detroit, 'THE' new Mopar voice for all things in validating, inspection and verifications of all things Mopar, including being at all Barrett/Jackson auctions etc., posted this after he gave my car a full one-over there - it legitimized to the US muscle car world that these cars are the real deal. So, actually having my car there was the clincher for all this to happen... so glad I did it :)-

The publisher at Bone Stock Magazine, who in the summer ran a feature on my '72 Swinger 340 Special and knew I was going to MCACN in the fall and asked if I'd chronicle the trek down there for the winter issue. And here it is...

With the brand new (April) edition of Mopar Collectors Guide landing, here's a few of the magazines this little blue princess has been featured in... what a ride!!!

FYI... a lot of you FABO members may be subscribers to Mopar Collectors Guide and may have seen the April issue - and yes, that damn blue princess made it into a feature there as well, haha.
So, if you don't have your copy yet, they are on shelves for awhile yet, and here's what the article looks like...

It was truly an honour to be in this fine magazine and I'd like to thank Rob Wolf coming up to us at MCACN and saying we ain't going anywhere after the show on Sunday - whaaaa? So, obviously we stuck around for another night as Tim Costello did his best, working with the conference centre lighting and such, but the pics look darn good in the mag. Then, a couple weeks after we got back, Randy Holden called and we went over the story by phone for over an hour - and he for the most part got it right but writers will be writers, haha.

Now, the new production numbers didn't make it into this story, so the old 65 for '71 and 60 for '72 are still in place in the story, but as you know, the new numbers are now 83 '71's and 24 '72's that were made.
Too bad I didn't know that prior to the stories in the magazines but that just gives me another reason to reach out and tell the story yet again :)-

This time round it’s Geoff Stunkard at Mopar Action covering MCACN - but just hi-lighting 9 or so cars, and yup, you guessed it - we were one of ‘em!!! Too Cool.
