What gets me about Florida seat belt laws. Every person in the vehicle must use a seat belt/shoulder harness. But you can ride in the open bed of a pickup with out any restraint at all. Tell me that makes any sense.
Girlfriend and I get pulled into a DUI checkpoint set up on the main drag in town one evening on our way to dinner. We both have our belts on in her shiny Black Tahoe. In the passenger car right in front of us I can see 3 kids jumping literally around in the back seat. LEO just waves them right through. Same Officer stops us, looks for seat belts, open containers, flash light in the eyes, the whole deal. I guess 50 yr olds were the target for the evening :rofl:. Don't forget that front plate, been there done that.
