Hint number 2.
When the key is turned to the start position, the ignition switch connects the circuits labeled Starter and Start - Ignition 2 .

Now connect the dots.
trying lol it makes sense on paper, but trying to follow this hobbled and cobbled together harness in this thing is just pain nuts. I should have just left the one I made on there. But no, me being me, thought I could fix the original harness enough to take it for a spin and in the process, I think I fried the coil

I don’t know which is funnier, Chris continually trying to figure out how to read an electrical diagram or Matt continually trying to teach him how to do it.
