Stop in for a cup of coffee

Scott Harvey's Racing-Rally tips included welding a second spider to the stock wheels, or using a strong aftermarket rim.
The Chrysler France Hemi 'cuda broke a ralley rim during an event. It was not doubled up. Probably due to the fact it was running in FIA's Group 3, which was very strict on requiring stock equipment.
On the other side of the coin, spun aluminum rims can flex considerably - I know. Flexed enough that the UCA sliced the wheel weights off. But some cast and forged lightwieght designs do as well. The guys at Pheonix convinced me the weight savings wasn't worth any advantage when its flexing that much!
