I've been looking into "how to get that deep look" when painting. Seems they add color to the clear. A lot. then less in consecutive coats. Down to none in the last two coats. I think they are using the base coat in the clear. A lot of extra material though but it really gives it depth. Even in solid colors. I wish I knew about this sooner. I need to do some more research.
