I still get upset thinking about this subject, I almost shot my father one night. We lived back a hollow down a long lane and our farm was the only one back there. Daddy slipped home from work and we didn't know he was home, I was upstairs in my room listing to music. He picked up my basket ball out of the front yard and bounced it off the roof. I heard it, my mother heard it and yelled for me to come down. I ran down and we heard it again. I grabbed my Winchester 12ga. Shotgun and pulled the hammer back and went to the front door, only me and god knows how close I came to pulling the trigger when daddy jerked the door open. It still makes me sick to this day thinking about it. We all learned a lesson that night about practical jokes. My dad has always been a good jokster and pulled good prank's on me all in fun and I love that he has always been that way. He made me a car guy because he was one and I'm thankful the lord made me hesitate pulling that trigger.
