Ultimate home defence pistol?

I had to pull my gun on a couple of punks in Macon once. I was in my 65 Valiant pre V8 swap and my fuel filter was constantly stopping up because I hadn't yet pulled the tank and cleaned it. It stalled on me and I was able to coas into a Roses parking lot. I got the filter off and knocked the dirt out and got it going again. As I was sitting there, door still open and car running, two guys stepped up single file to my open door. The front one pulled a knife and said "we'll be needin your money". I pulled my stainless Ruger Super Blackhawk 44 Magnum out from the seat and trans tunnel, pulling the hammer back at the same time and said "not tonight boys". I am really glad they backed off. Had they not, I would have killed them both with one shot and probably gotten an innocent bystander, because although they were right there, my gun was pointed toward the front of the store. The expression on his face was priceless, though.
