"You Mopar guys" The Mark Worman effect?

So today I called Classic Auto Air to see if they would they would sell some of the AC vents from their retrofit kit separately. The tech said that they would, but made sure to let me know that they were not to the original size. I told him that was fine, I liked the way their vents fit in the dash, and not hang below . He then said something that took me off guard a little. He said," No offence, but a lot of you Mopar Guys like your stuff to be original." I laughed and let him know I was building a restomod Challenger, and wanted to be comfortable and actually drive my car, and not worry about numbers matching. He seemed relieved, and we talked about the application for awhile. After I hung up, I remember these are the guys who do the restoration work for Graveyard Carz. The way he said "You Mopar guys" made me wonder what brought that on. I am not here to trash Mark, or his shop. What I have to ask, is what effect his show is having on our hobby. How does it shed light on restoration industry, and those of us who just like driving, and modifying our Mopars.
