I don't think a color change would hurt the value as much as an incorrect engine for instance in this case. What makes a car valuable in the first place? The trim tag, not so much what engine or tranny, or even color it has when you buy it. Would a 68 or 69 Hemi Cuda be less valuable if someone put a small block in it? Not likely.
