1972 Model year 340 short block rebuidable core

In 1972, the engines were made with steel cranks, lower compression, 4 eyebrow pistons and heads with 1.88/1.60 valves. 1973 had the cast cranks. This short block did not have the pistons changed since it's a 1972 model year engine. The 68-71 engines had the higher compression, 2 eyebrow pistons and steel cranks. The block is standard bore and the steel crank is standard rods and mains.

I had a 72 340 duster and it was a cast crank, I also had another 72 340 motor and that had a cast crank. I have a set of J heads that are 71 and they have 2.02 intakes.
