Mild 340 upgrade ideas?

Camshaft and valve train technology wasn't up to snuff in those days. Duration was about all they had going at the time. No big lift, fast ramps, or good springs for stock or slightly modified engines. I remember when Comp Cams started in business. (Flashback) lol
