I just installed the Borg box and your coupler which is a nice and simple piece to install. I too have the whiny sound from the box. I understand Borg will warranty it but wtf. Why is there a large percentage of people having this issue? I believe my box has the welded tang for the K-frame mount.

The newest boxes are all cast as one piece. No more welded brackets. As far as noise is concerned, most of the time a replacement makes it silent. The amount of boxes I've had Borgeson warranty is less than 1/4 of 1% of boxes sold. However, others have reported that reducing the pressure of the pump also solved the issue. What pump do you have?
