Made some decent progress this morning
Yanked out the pos 7-1/4
Got the Hypercoil 175lb/in composite springs mocked up the Dr.Diff offset shackles and spring perch. The spring perch had a .66" pilot hole but my Hyperco had a 1/2 pin. There was a bit too much slop so I added a small bushing.
Progress was halted because my OCD engineer side just had to check out the 8-1/4 was setup proper. spoiler: it wasn't
I'm no expert but the Googles says the wear pattern suggest the pinion is close. I put on the new crush sleeve and crept up on it and not much change. So the Diff needs adjusted but I don't have the 4' tool handy to get to the bearing adjusters. It'll have to wait a few more days.
