Took the duster out on Monday , over the winter I install a mechanical temp gauge , so had to drain the anti-freeze . Put her all back together during the winter, fired her up on Sunday and the temperature kept going up 220, 230 ,240 crap ! Thing was the block and water pump where super hot but the rad was cold . So I figured stuck thermostat , took it out put it in boiling water on the stove in a pot ...lol ( don't tell the wife) low and behold it opened up . Put her back together again and filled with anti-freeze tried again , I left the cap off so I could watch the flow all of a sudden it got to 180 and it was like old faith full , must have been an air pocket under the thermostat , steam won't open a thermostat. Everything is good now running about 190 .
Morning FOG glad you got it fixed I had that same problem with my car awhile back. I haven't installed a mechanical temp gauge yet but a good idea.
Now your up and running Minneapolis Mopars in the park is not that bad of a drive so if you leave now I could meet you there on Friday...:)
