Stop in for a cup of coffee

I got the light fixture off and it’s toast. Cheap builder grade Chinese crap. I disassembled it and isolated the wires so it will be Weather tight for the rains we have coming this week and I can still turn on the light on the other side of the garage on the same circuit until I get new fixtures to install next weekend.

It used to look like this...

These would be stylish

Darn kids anyway. Got prayers Zkx. Sounds like they faired pretty well under the circumstances.

Wow Keefer...Prayers from here...my friend....

Definitely praying!

Wow, that sucks. Glad they are mostly ok and it wasn’t worse. Prayers for sure.

Prayers for all involved.

That's terrible, but hope her back is not seriously hurt...
Update
Neuro doc looked at MRI and said no surgery. She will have to wear a brace/splint for at least a couple months Can take it off to shower and sleep(flat on her back). They will likely discharge her tomorrow and Mae will bring her home

Great news! Glad it worked out. Not ideal but certainly better than it could have been.

Praise God! Great news!

Thank God for a good outcome. It going to take her a while to recover, but I’m sure you are all breathing a bit easier now.

I managed to finish trimming the front hedges today. The only thing left on my to-do list for this weekend is to replace the blown bulb in one of the outdoor garage lights. Good thing too, I’m beat.

Got a little done on the trailer,2x3 welded across bottom of doors and the plates cut for the pointy end of trailer to hold battery and pump.

Tractor is going back in for surgery. Weld repair has a pinhole.

Glad to hear that it doesn't need surgery...

Cold front blew through a hour or so ago. It's like 68° out there and breezy. Perfect for setting on the patio with a ice cold Toolman Octoberfest.

Boy do I feel stupid... :BangHead:

Went to the life celebration for my brother in law... Get there and see pictures of my nephew and some of my nephew and brother in law together and I start getting curious...
huh.gif

Then I see Tony senior at the gathering... :wtf:

It turns out that my nephew is the one that died... :wtf: (He had the same name as his father...)

Luckily most of my early comments were not specific enough to let others know that I thought the other one died...

I figured out where the confusion came while talking to my son on the way home, he called his cousin "Uncle Tony"...

I had to explain to him that Tony Jr is his cousin and not his uncle... :BangHead:

I felt so bad for Tony senior while he tried to keep his composure while talking about his son... :(

I was fighting the tears myself...

Sorry to hear...
Yeah, that could have got really awkward.

Not the word i used when i first saw the photo. That’s incredible!
The door pillars are a major part of the car’s structure, as it shows in the pic.
Apparently the roof caved in as it rolled up against some kind of guard. I don’t think they actually rolled over.

Well, my day went to ****... Got a call right after breakfast from a hospital in Altoona that my daughter was in an accident. Her and a friend were coming back from visiting my son. Apparently Abby was sleeping, other girl driving. Not much detail yet. Seems they tangled with a truck, hit a guard rail and car landed on its side. Abby is stable and being admitted to a regular room. I talked to her and she sounds good, but has a back injury. Cat scan looks like hairline fracture to a vertebrae and she should have MRI soon. Other girl had a piece of glass in her eye which they removed. Otherwise she was OK and being released. My wife is headed out there. For now I am home with the dog. This sucks. :BangHead:
Holy hell. Prayers man! Hope she’s ok

Well we’re back from the sticks and camping. I think my wife may beat the **** out of her sister. We took her kids camping with ours and their mom is a POS . Dropped them off at 8pm Friday. They hadn’t eaten since 430 on THURSDAY, at their dads. We didn’t find this out until one of them asked us at 1030pm if he could have a snack. So we cooked supper that late.

Then, she sent them with NO CLOTHING, so the wife ran and bought them a couple pairs of clothes.

Then get home today, having fed them and all, only for their mom to ***** when my wife told her we were keeping the sleeping bags we bought Friday(she also sent no bedding supplies).

And here’s the thing, it’s not a lack of money thing. Or a lack of knowledge, it’s just pure laziness and I don’t know what else.

Rant over

As of today,55 years on this planet. All i can think about is how many years i have left.
What i can do is make the best of what i have left. Live life to the fullest!
Well you know...I am 65 and life expectancy of the American make is 78. So I have 12 years 6 months and if you take that times 52 I have exactly 648 weekends left. In that time I plan to go to Carlisle and other shows so I am running out of Saturdays so I need to use them wisely
