I HAVE A CPL OF QUESTIONS BUT IM HOPING I CAN HAVE AT LEAST ONE ANSWERED..

First off, can a car that has a electrical problem (Maybe not charging well) cause the car to run rich on account the gas is not burnt properly because of not enough juice ?

Second.

Can a vacuum booster that's not running well cause a car to run rich, real rich because of the loss of vacuum ?

Thanks.

Usually a bad booster creates a lean condition, as in huge vacuum leak
Seems like I have it completely the other way around, car is running rich Cassidy of lack of vacuum in the intake.(that's what the mechanic says) I don't doubt him cause he is one of the better mechanics in the city (got a street car running low 9s with nothing truly special) but I was took also the fact that I'm losing some juice (electricity) that too can contribute to the had not being burnt properly... But all truth, that car is ruining real shyt this yr. Hopefully this week all will be cleared up.

So it is possible that my running rich is on account of the vacuum ? On Thursdayxi will be stitching over to manual brakes and the he'll with that... Lol
I just want the car to run like it did all of last yr. I swear, it's still the same, I used it put that key in start it and off I went, six pack and all. No problems, no overheating and I put a good 2000 mills in it last summer with no problems.
This yr, it still turns over and runs with no problems but it's running so rich, I only see a cloud of black smoke when I kick it open (full throttle) not to mention I don't get more than 70-80 miles on a full tank of gas. (93 octane)
I'm basically filling it up once a week with only a cpl of days of driving, around town.
It's been a tad heartbreaking, I almost locked it up for the summer, before spring was done.
Like I said, I'm waiting till Thursday to see the difference.

What are we even talkin about here? A Briggs and Stratton? A Chevy? Details?

And if it's that bad you had better check the oil to make sure it's not over full. (with gas) You should be able to disconnect and plug the hose to the brake booster to test. Be careful if you drive it though. Power brakes with the booster hooked up don't work well at all. 6 pack? Holley carbs? Blown power valve?

Six was rebuilt, I know I was worried about the gas wash but I changed plugs also..I'm driving it, not that bad disks as still working good lol

Haha, I knew when I read it

BTW....Does any one do...(clearly) I know I can speak only for myself and I say " Nay, Nay,"'
I'm just as lost, but atleast I don't have to worry about my state of mind at said hrs. Reason ? People I'm working with at that ungodly hr are simply not in tune either..lol come to think of it. I should explain their condition even better.
They're literally not with the time...basically dead to the world.
Subsequently, I am an embalmer so all of them are dead.lol

Never had one complaint either, mind you sometimes grabbing folk can be a little demanding....
Never did hair, make up etc...that's someone else's forte.
I just have fresh liver, daily.

Yeah I’d like to know also how this got resolved. My slant has similar issues, black smoke out the tailpipe and gets 9-10 mpg.

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say it just todays worthless gas!
If it's just a summer cruiser and sets all winter.....Well that oxygenated fuel Is no Friend, setting in the fuel bowl all winter long.
Can of carb spray to the outside and maybe even, pulled apart to do the same on the inside.

If it has backfired, Investigating the Power Valve, is a vary good idea. Blow/bad power valve will make it rich at idle but not at full throttle.
You said it had black smoke out the back when you throttle it......crap in the needle and seat cause the fuel bowl to be too high.
causing carb to run rich...............
I could be way off but that's were my mind goes.

Slant? Holley 1920 1 barrel carb, economizer valve goes bad and it runs rich, gets bad mileage.
Fwiw Weak spark does hurt performance as well...checking the system will weed that out.
