What were the vehicles that had them from the factory? Tryin' to edumicate myself before the junkyard crawl....
 
Looking for an adapter, and they're not cheap!
 
Check out a ford parts website. The Windsor 90* adapter will fit a SBM and much cheaper. Same thread size and o-ring/gasket size.
 
If you can do without one, your engine will not complain. I put a short filter on my 367 with TTIs; lotsa room. Oil changes are a lil tricky but I can still do it in my driveway, with a bit of ingenuity..
 
My 68 340 car and 68 318 car had them. No real help though. Probably not a bunch of those in the junkyard.
 
If you don't want to wander junkyards looking for this part, I have the adapter, and the bolt. $60, including shipping. I think Mancini's has the gasket.
