Hello everybody. New to this or any forum for that matter so please be kind. My journey started back in 74 with the acquisition of a #s matching 1970 AAR (sorry no pics) straight out of the military and a little cash in my pocket. That one lasted a few years until I totaled it in the trees but that's another story. Cuda was followed in 1990 by a 70 Duster 340 also #s matching. That one lasted about 6mos and ended up being sold for 2x what I paid for it. Fast forward to now and I'm reliving my early days with one I always lusted after. This Dart is not #s matching but a ground up resto mod nonetheless. The family in Mi that did the work took about 4yrs as best I can tell and fortunately did an excellent job. Multiple time show winner at the nationals and too many locals to count. I don't drive it as much as I'd like to but frankly it's a bit on the "scary" side. Wife won't get anywhere near it and the neighbors ... well lets just say I'm not the block favorite. Build book provided by the family includes lots of pics and 1/8 and 1/4 slips. I'll post some pics when I can figure out how to repro out of the book. Currently thinking about a coil over setup like Alterktion or something of that sort for more of a better daily driver. Anybody have any thoughts or suggestions? ... Thanks

Welcome from the Austin area.

Welcome to FABO, MikeyD, from SoCal!
Orange is not normally a favorite car color for me, but I really like the way your Dart is finished. Beautiful job.
Regarding the neighbors...sometimes that can be a good thing. Years ago one of my neighbors two houses away used to have semi-regular loud parties that lasted well into the very early morning hours. The revenge was sweet when I'd fire up the '69 Dart I had back then with the headers open, loud and proud. Of course, I waited until the hours I could legally make noise...but I knew he was asleep and hung over.

Welcome from San Antonio. Beautiful car. I have an alterkation suspension. I don’t know if the coil over is going to realy increase ride comfort for daily driving but ask around for those people have swapped over. I never drove mine with the original suspension. It’s alot of money so do some good research. Good luck.
