The old M1-single plane, the standard for many years. It uses the TQ carb pad for of course, TQ usage! And while that is a plus on one hand, it is t the greatest opening for a Holley. The MP engines book tells you to use a Holley carb when you start to get fast with your car & this intake. The “Engines book” also tells you how to modify it for a Holley carb via dams on the intakes floor and where and how big.
It is otherwise an excellent intake. MP made there own copy cat of the Holley strip dom. Which is also an excellent unit.
I am not familiar with the custom built carbs you mention. Also, who is this, "Dom" you mentioned. Could you elaborate a bit more. I am very interested.
Thanks
