I use the cheapie thin moving blankets from Harbor Freight and cut it to the panel and then the plastic over that.
It gives some noise and temperature insulation.
Also, if you check behind any mattress outlet stores the plastic the mattresses get shipped in is pretty much perfect for panels and they just toss it.
Home Depot also has some really good plastic, but you have to buy way more than you need.
