Inspection of a 904 torqueflite


Over running clutch-

This spins fine.....looks fine. I have not taken it out yet. I’m sure it’s fine. Of course it’s going to be replaced....at least the springs and bearings?


Clutch hub teeth.....look fine. Better than the 904 does-


Reverse drum-

ANOTHER REAR sun shell.....-


Inside reverse drum where the rear planet ring gear sits-


Selective washer. .125 on one side.....
.122 on the other side. The high spec on this is .125-


Front planet wear.
The side clearance is good and no wobble on any part of either planets front or backplanet gears -
