I have heavy stuff delivered to work all the time, we have a truck dock.
When a pallet is around 300 lbs, I do not want to meet a truck driver in some parking lot, to drop it off the end of his trailer into my truck bed.
Plus the truck driver is happy, the shipping guys at work will take it off his truck, and I tell the guys at work when something is comming, to put it in the bed of my truck at work.
I only caught hell one time, it was from the lady in the accounting department, I had a 4-speed trans shipped to CA, the bill was like 186.00, the shipping department charged it to the company account, no big deal, or so I thought.
She went ballistic, said to not use resources to ship my crap, even though all they did was make arrangements, and had it picked up, I already built a crate and had it in it.
Then she went into orbit when I paid the bill in cash, because she had to go to the bank, and deposit it, instead of scanning a personal check.
