273 to slant 6 conversion

Unless you have a physical limitation that limits your strength, I don't see a need for PS and especially PB in an A.

I simplified my 68 cuda by replacing the leaky, heavy PS with an original manual 16:1 box. Except for parking, it's fine. I wouldn't want to autocross with it though. Also disc brakes using 1973 A-body PS MC run manually.

I WANTED a Valiant with a /6 and searched one out. (I already have two SB-powered a bodies, one a 340.) Manual steering and brakes. The 24:1 steering is slow. I think 20:1 manual would be a good compromise.

Having said all that, I would say if your car originally came with a 273, keep it. Or af least stash it away.
