Dartin for Divorce

Yea I feel like Alice in wonderland with my rabbit hole. I think part of the problem is I have the car apart and it's not driving if it was I would probably be enjoying the crap out of how it is currently, I know we were before it went under the knife. I can't work on it late at night when I am up and the family is asleep, only get to work on it a little bit while they are up and I'm not studying. So my problem is reading about the car, different parts, different set ups and so on; then looking for the parts on craigslist/offer-up/facebook marketplace and in FABO.

I take my national boards exam next Tuesday so after that I'll have more time to get the thing dialed in if I don't have it put back together by then.

What do I want for the car?... I want the car to run and run good/great. I want it to start up and drive no problem and to not worry about the car breaking down while I am out with the family. The car will never see the track, I'm not much of a track person. I probably won't ever go to a dyno and get an accurate hp number, but I want the car to be fun and fast on the street (which like you said it probably already is with it's current set up). I want lobe, love hearing old big motor cars sound like they are about to die at the light then shoot off like a bat out of hell when the light turns green :)

After I have all that, I will end up changing my mind all over again and the process will start from the beginning again. I have to have something to tinker on and continue to mess with. Whether it be engine, drive train, exterior or interior. I'm that one friend that goes crazy if I'm not doing something hence the ADHD. lol
Sounds like your the same as 99% of us. We putter on our cars, get them to were we think we want them, get used to how it runs/handles, THEN we want a little more : ie. handling , reliability, power ect. It doesn't hurt to start looking and getting ideas for possible routes to go with your build. Sounds like you got it under control...exams then "play time"!! Good luck on your exams.
