Don't get me wrong. I feel for Mitch and his predicament with the painter. My code of ethics says Customer A is here first then customer A gets out of here first even if Customer B comes in with an insurance company ripe for the picking afterwards.
I agree,it should be that way. I'm sure they have a timeline to do the insurance work. And if you can't do it, they aint giving you their business. If that is most of your work, it's what you gotta do...So the one off customers wait in line. And yeh, the customer can choose the shop. Blah blah blah. But as a daily driver customer, most just want their car back. So, you go where the car is and the ins already accepted the terms...
