Hi Guys,

This is my first post on the forum. I am a long time e-body owner who recently picked up a rotisserie restored 1970 Plymouth Duster 340. It is an original 340 4 speed car, Plum Crazy interior, black interior whit a white vinyl top. Black longitudinal stripe and a black rear stripe, Rally car. As the car is only in need of minor details I am now at the point of axle tube and differential markings/ stamps.

Does anyone know what the three digit code on the passenger side of the axle tube would have been? I'd like to order a stamp and get this done before the Canadian winter sets in.

I am not a restorer or anything cool like that just a guy who likes adding fun details to his car.
Thanks!

Welcome to FABO. There is a member restoring a Duster or Demon that might know. Let me see if I can find his name..

19duster71 is his name here. His restoration is over the top from what I have seen. Send him a personal message. He may be able to help you.

Sweet thanks! does this member had a restoration thread I Can check out? I'd for sure like to spy any other details I could add to my car.

pardon my new member moment, is a "conversation" the same as a PM?
Yes
I didn't see a build thread but I did see a long list of needed NOS pieces for his restoration.

If you have a matching broadcast sheet, what is the 3 digit number in the AXLE box on line 4?

Perfect I sent him a PM as well.

but in the meantime,

anyone? or if anyone with a 70 A body with a factory 3.55 suregrip on their broadcast sheet want to let me know what the code is under "Axle". If it helps the SPD of my car is mid November 1969.

OK, then see the chart at http://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/TSBs/1970/D70-3-2 page4.jpg

It is for 1970 Challengers & Darts, but the 3 digit numbers are the same for the Plymouths.

The one with 10" brakes & the 3.55 is what you want, but compare your center section type & u-joint yoke size too just for fun.
THANK YOU!

I am printing this page and putting it in my holy binder of information.

It looks like 075 is the number. This makes sense since my Challenger was 076.
