At least in the blue challenger it is a face plated transmission. I always knew them as crash boxes and not sure if there is any difference between face plated/crash box. Funny that you should mention stalling. I was behind the blue challenger at Norwalk and it was SO STICKY he killed the car right on the line. Next run he beat me running 11.66 to my 12.0 at 1500’ DA. It was only close because I cut a .055 light to his .220! Not the first time he’s smacked me around like a redheaded step child! :)
