170 engine build

The Buick 401 nailhead rod would work with those pistons in the 170 block with the 198 crank. That rod is 6.220" long. You would have a deck clearance of about .015" in the hole at TDC. The rods are a little different in width, but I believe they would work. They would also require making the big end diameter smaller, and I believe there's enough meat there to do it. Lastly, they would have to be bushed down on the piston end from .9994 to .901 but that's doable. That rounds off to a 204 cubic inch engine. Would be interesting if those rods will work.
