OK, just wanted to check that you had a trans that matched the engine. The 170 engine only had the large pilot in 68, and 69, and the 68-69 trans will not bolt up to the 67 and older engines, without a special converter.. I recommend you do not buy a "off the shelf" converter. There are several good converter manufacturers with experiance with the slant six. I use Edge racing converters, myself.
