Dang, I was pretty sure they wouldn’t fit but I grabbed them anyways there ceramic coated long tubes from the summit racing scratch and dent. Looks like I might have to trade em or sell them. They are so damn pretty I had to get them.

Or you could go the other way. Buy an early a body.

I took my lazy butt to Google and looked....lol. D454's are 3/4 inch tubes, and fit early A's with an Alterkation front suspension. D453's are 5/8's tubes, and fit early A's with stock torsion bar front suspension.

Dammit. Those might be tough to get rid of.

So, sell your junk. By an early A and put an alterkation under it. Problem solved. You already have the headers.

Alterktion uses the coil overs. Torsion bars will be in the way. I’ll play around and see what I can do with them.

Curious to if you ever tried to use the D454s. Why I'm asking is, I'm soon going to change my '64 dart over to a straight axle, and will be getting rid of the torsion bars. I'm curious as to if they will clear the stock Kmember and steering box with the Tbars removed.

I ended up selling the 454’s I had. I wish I could have used them those ceramic coated headers sure where a nice piece of art.
