What brand is your favorite tape measure?

This may be a really stupid question, but wouldn't you have to swing a 14 oz titanium hammer twice as hard as a 28 oz hammer to obtain the same amount of force? Does this negate any benefit from having a lighter hammer in the first place?

I only ask because my dad was a carpenter for 35 yrs and swore by his titanium hammer later in his career. I've never asked him why though.
