Power steering conversion
Get the power steering box, and power steering column with coupler from a donor car of the same or close year. With all of the right parts, it's a bolt in swap.
The manual column is longer with a different coupler.
If you want to work harder, there are ways to cut and modify what you have, there are adapters, there are universal joints to weld into the column, there are aftermarket steering boxes and adapters.
IMHO it's a lot more work and money spent then going with the first option.
