Tunnel ram guys. A few questions please?

Like this. This is for a big block Chevy. Finding even a picture of one for a Mopar is hard now. If yours looks like this, it's a damn good one.

Going with bigger and badder instead.

This ought to clean some clocks in the back alleys!

The top on the edelbrock base is my favorite top for that.

When I was way younger, and more motivated, I was going to take a slitting saw to that top on the W2 intake. Then I was going to reduce the plenum volume some and then (remember...I was younger and much more motivated back then) I was going to shift the carb mounting pads a bit.

Yup. I was WAY more motivated back then.

I think the MP’s plenum is a bit generous.
But it’s a race part.....

Do you recall what cam was in that 318, if other than stock?
It was a factory roller cam motor with 360 valved ,ported Factory 302 heads and a Comp Cam, 480 lift, do not recall duration at this time.

Would the 500 cfm Holley two barrel carbs they use on circle track motors be a good candidate for a dual tunnel ram? Should be tunable and not break the bank. Definitely not as sexy as dual fours though.
My brother is running a pair of them on his 52 sedan delivery. Goes like stink and has absolutely no bog to it at all.

I pull the carb off?

Yeah its more of a pain in the *** but it really adds about 5 minutes so i just deal with it.

I may be wrong but on my big blocks
Moderate compression big duration
Cams run better with low cfm mechanical secondary carbs. No vacuum.straight advance + little nos
Dont ask me how I know.
