One lift for heating house, two fir shop. House is 3 bags/week
Shop is a little more. I light stove in morning and turn it off at 4:00.more efficient to run them hot than to dial down for economy.

You were too quick for me. :). Anyway, it is what I hear too, most efficient when you burn it hot. I once was a wood burning stove in Sweden that was burning extremely clean and was heating up water in a tank, so it was burning at full speed and therefore at the most efficient for a short time, and then the large tank was used to giving hot water for the radiators the rest of the day, and the night. But, I don't know how efficient this is, because once you transfer energy from one material to the next, you loose a lot.
