That's the way. When I called aroud a few years ago, and the one guy said sure,the way he said I figured he hadn't done one of these before. LOL.
The guy at East Coast machine knew exactly what to do. Cost $100 but was well worth it.
Paid to have one done. Next time i did it myself. Was winter so i threw axle in snowbank, and set bearing and ring on a trouble lamp bulb (incandescent)
1/2 hour or so i brought axle in and dropped bearing and ring onto axle. A couple thumps with a heavy wall pipe and bearing was seated.
