My son had a friend who was into the whole holistic eating thing and he used to come pick some and make soup with them, but he cautioned that the ones that grow in the yard are usually not the ones to eat... The ones that grow at the base of trees are usually the edible kind... You need to look them up on the internet and identify them properly so you don't eat any poisonous ones... I would rather not take any chances and leave them alone...
