respecting your elders

Not ever built by factory deal? Comes to mind, the heavy 6 pac rods used in lots of 440's, they were using up the inventory. Or left over parts from the year before being used at beginning of next years car run?
I really doubt nay six pacs went on anything other than what was supposed to get, or Mr Norm special treatment maybe!!???
