2 bbl too 4 bbl vacume lines

Carb is a quick fuel slayer 600 cfm it has a timed spark and a vacume advance port under the car as well as one on the metering block witch I am tied into now.
I'm just wondering if I need to bother running the vacume line all the way to the canister or can i just leave it alone

Also when i got the car running it sounds like there is a bag of rocks in the motor as the car was sitting for a few months im wondering if the hydraulic lifter would have leaked down how long would it take for them to pump up when running
