There’s no denying that is a major reason for uprooting my life and spending every dime we had to go 1,700 miles away from everything I knew and all of the car connections I had... Driving any of my old Mopars anytime of the year absolutely makes it all worth it.
Also, it still makes me queezy thinking about shoveling a path to get our cars out and chipping 1/2” thick ice off of my windshield at 5am when it’s so cold it hurts to breath and you can’t feel your fingers, ears or toes and by the time you can finally do get into your Luke warm car, not going far enough to thaw out or your car get warmed up fully just to face the work day.
I know the pain and fought it and the rust long enough.
I say that but I’m heading back to Illinois to pick up a 1971 340 Duster soon... It’s rusty and it is going to stay in Illinois and will be for sale in Illinois but it’s complete minus motor/trans (auto) it still has the sharktooth grill, 8.75 rear, bucket seat console interior... with a straight axle! It’s too bad they did it but it’s a cool 340 71 none the less.
