74 with front drum brakes - confusing options

for posterity's sake.
I ordered and installed The Raybestos MC36338 Brake master cylinder and everything worked out great. I bench bled it and didn't even need to bleed the system afterwards.
Brake throw is a bit more than the stock one, but it modulates just fine, just like @George Jets said in his post.
