Slant 6 Split exhaust

They did, Brazil, Argentine, South Africa. In this country, when you bought a \6 powered car, you were cheap, and didn't want fancy stuff like dual exhaust. If you wanted that stuff, you would buy a V8.

They used 1 7/8" exhaust pipe because it was CHEAP.
