904 cable replacement '65

OK - just played with the park cable adjustment at the transmission end. I tried the "put it in park and loosen the cable clamp bolt and pull the cable out a little bit and tighten the clamp bolt" method and that caused it not to be able to pull out of park. After that I just kept trying different positions and finally found a spot where the shifter will pull out of park and I get a decent park. My suspicion is that someone pulled the housing and bent the spring on the adaptor. i have a spring coming.
