Stop in for a cup of coffee

The P45T socket as it is called did not come with H4 for a long time that I know of. The H4 started to become popular in the 70ties in Norway, but with the P43T socket. I did not see a H4 on a P45T socket until late 90ties. I have no idea when they came, but they were not common in Norway until late, and they are still nothing you can get in gas stations, it is a bit of a special order from a few companies that carries them.

Actually, the R2 you refer to, that is something I have never heard used in Norway. We used to differentiate them by the base, P45T, or BA15s for example, except the halogen bulbs which was H1, H2 and H4 for many many years. Europe has not used the American number system like 1057, or 1004, or whatever as far as I know. We used for example 5Watt BA15s, BA I think stands for bayonet, 15 is the diameter of the socket in millimeter, and s is for a single philament. A 10Watt BA15s would be the same bulb but with a 10 watt philament.
